Replace ageing Aston Martin DB9 bonnet mesh with a purposeful honeycomb design. AstonDIY’s complete replacement bonnet vents refresh faded or peeling original mesh while keeping the vent openings functional.

A consistent honeycomb design

The styling follows the honeycomb treatment around the N420 rear diffuser on Josh’s Vantage. He developed this AstonDIY range to create greater visual consistency across the car’s vents and grilles.

  • A complete left and right bonnet vent pair, rather than overlays or mesh inserts.
  • Open honeycomb geometry retains functional ventilation.
  • A durable engineering polymer offers UV and weather resistance for long-term exterior use.

DB9 compatibility

Designed for the VH Aston Martin DB9 bonnet vent arrangement. Not suitable for DBS bonnets. If your car has had bonnet or bodywork changes, compare the vent shape before ordering.

Choose your set

  • Without side vents: one pair of DB9 honeycomb bonnet vents.
  • With side vents: the bonnet vent pair plus a matching pair of honeycomb side vents.

Finish & fitting

The vents arrive in raw black and can be fitted as supplied. Customers have also successfully prepared and painted them for a customised finish; painting is not included.

Bonnet installation reuses the six original fixings per side and is reversible. For the optional side vents, reuse three original bolts per vent, accessing the fixings by moving or removing the wheel-arch liner sufficiently. Allow around 30 minutes for the side vents. No replacement hardware is supplied.

Josh has used the honeycomb vent design on his own Vantage for over three years. More than 50 sets have been supplied across the range.
