Repair a cracked or missing upright in your five-bar grille with the Aston Martin DB9 & DBS 5-Slat Grille Support Kit. These carbon-fibre reinforced polymer replacements support the existing horizontal slats, helping protect difficult-to-source grille components and potentially avoid replacing a complete grille.

Why replace ageing supports?

Original plastic can become brittle with age and exposure. A support may snap during disassembly, particularly when corroded mild-steel hardware has seized and transfers the removal load into the plastic.

  • Functional replacement design: strengthened around appropriate weak areas.
  • Keep your existing grille: replace an individual damaged support or refurbish all seven positions.
  • A2 stainless hardware: supplied replacement fixings use stainless steel where applicable.

Count your horizontal slats

For VH DB9 and DBS applications fitted with a 5-slat / 5-bar grille. Count the bars on the car before ordering. Grilles can be replaced or retrofitted, so model year alone is not a reliable check.

Have seven horizontal bars? View the DB9 7-Slat Grille Support Kit. The 5-slat and 7-slat supports are not interchangeable.

Individual support or Full Set?

Positions 1–7 are available individually; follow the numbering in the diagram. We recommend the Full Set for refurbishment when an original has become brittle: the remaining supports have experienced similar ageing, making replacement together sensible while the grille is being dismantled. This can reduce repeat work without assuming another support will definitely fail.

What's included

  • Individual: the selected carbon-fibre reinforced polymer support and applicable A2 stainless hardware for that position.
  • Full Set: seven carbon-fibre reinforced polymer vertical grille supports with applicable A2 stainless hardware.
  • Existing horizontal bars are reused; replacement bars are not included.

Material and appearance

Manufactured from high-strength, carbon-fibre reinforced engineering polymer. These dark grey/black uprights, sometimes called grille spacers, differ slightly in shape from the original plastic components. They are functional replacements rather than exact visual replicas and can be painted for a closer colour match.

Fitment and support

Use the product diagram to identify the required support position. Some original grille fixings may be reused, depending on position. For help choosing a support or planning the work, contact AstonDIY for fitment support.

Dispatch and delivery
