Aston Martin MagSafe Phone Mount

Use Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze on the phone you already own, positioned approximately where the original Aston Martin navigation display was intended to be viewed. This vehicle-specific magnetic phone holder brings modern navigation to the waterfall dashboard while retaining the factory interior and equipment.

Designed around the Aston Martin dashboard

The AstonDIY durable engineering-polymer base was developed from a scan of the waterfall/navigation-lid geometry. Its contoured underside matches the curved surface at the front edge of the navigation lid/dashboard area, positioning the phone for visibility with minimal unnecessary obstruction and keeping the air vents free.

Vehicle compatibility

For compatible Gaydon/VH-era V8 Vantage, V12 Vantage, DB9, DBS, Virage and Rapide models with the relevant waterfall / “ski slope” dashboard, with or without factory navigation.

Compare your dashboard/navigation-lid shape with the product photos before ordering. Geometry varies across years and specifications. The photos illustrate the mounting position; the current supplied version is MagSafe-compatible.

Phone compatibility & what’s included

A complete ready-to-fit mount: contoured engineering-polymer base, MagSafe-compatible magnetic holding head, adapter rings and pre-applied adhesive mounting tape. No separate magnetic mount is needed. The current assembly uses YOSH magnetic hardware.

Works with compatible MagSafe-equipped iPhones and cases. Included adapter rings support many non-MagSafe phones/cases; they are not needed for every device. Thick, unusual or weakly attached cases can affect retention, so compatibility is not universal.

Installation & factory navigation

Peel and fit the taped base in its intended position at the front edge of the navigation lid/dashboard surface. Installation is fully reversible, with no drilling, screws, cutting or permanent dashboard modification. Adhesive removal may leave residue.

The factory pop-up navigation lid can still operate. Remove the phone before raising or lowering the powered lid because of its additional weight. Where vehicle settings allow, owners can prevent the lid automatically rising; disabling factory navigation is not required.

Developed and used in Josh’s own Vantage for around five years, with more than 50 mounts supplied.
