Test sequence and decision path
1. Key on, engine running and fully warmed up,
switch on the A/C (Mode switch from ECO to A/C
for immediate response). Monitor the A/C pressure sensor signal at pressure sensor connector
C1257-5. The signal level should switch from
about 12 volts to below 1.0 volts as the A/C compressor switches on.
Switch off the A/C (Mode switch from A/C to
ECO). The A/C pressure sensor signal should drop
from below 1.0 volts to about 12 volts as the A/C
compressor switches off.
2. If the pressure sensor signal does not correctly
follows the A/C switching, suspect a problem
with BVREF (+12VDC) or signal return to the
pressure sensor.
Fit the breakout box and check continuity
between the following points:
BVREF C1465-2 to C0635-40
Signal Return C1465-1 to C0635-41
AC Pressure signal C1465-3 to C0635-26
If any continuity fault is identified, service the
wiring as necessary. Clear the P1464 code and
run a KOER / A/C on test to ensure that the
problem is resolved.
If no continuity fault is identified, replace the A/C
pressure sensor. Clear the P1464 code and run a
KOER / A/C on test to ensure that the problem is
resolved.
Open the corresponding manual page for wiring diagrams and figures
switch on the A/C (Mode switch from ECO to A/C
