Manufacturer fault-analysis procedure
Test sequence and decision path
1. Connect the WDS and confirm that P0771 is
logged.
2. Clear the logged code.
3. With the engine running, select each gear mode
by pressing the P, R, N and D buttons in turn.
4. Check that the telltale lamp in each switch illuminates to indicate that the mode has been succesfully engaged.
5. Recheck for logged DTCs. if P0771 is logged
again,replace the mechatronic unit.
6. Run a brief road test to include use of all gearshift
modes to confirm that the problem is resolved.
Open the corresponding manual page for wiring diagrams and figures
logged.
