Manufacturer fault-analysis procedure

Test sequence and decision path

1. Connect the WDS and confirm that P0711,
P0712, P0713 or P0714 is logged.

2. Key off. Disconnect the transmission harness at
the gearbox.

3. With the ignition switched off, check for +12 vots
from transmission harness connector pin C 0932-
14 (VBatt) to pin C0932-13 and 16 (Ground)
If +12 volts is available, go to step 4.
If +12 volts is not available, service the +12 volt
or ground circuit as necessary. Clear the fault
code and run a KOER test to ensure that the problem is resolved.

4. Key on. Check for +12 volts from C0932-9 (+12
Ign) to C0932-13.
If +12v is available, go to step 5.
If +12v is not available, service the +12V Ignition
line to C0932-9. Clear the fault code and run a
KOER test to ensure that the problem is resolved.

5. The temperature sensor is integrated into the
‘Mechatronic Unit” in the gearbox and is not
serviceable. Change the mechatronic unit. Clear
the fault code.
Run a test drive to confirm the replacement
Mechatronic unit and to ensure that the problem
is resolved.
