Cautions and notes
CAUTION: This codes may be generated in the
Primary or Secondary Powertrain Control Module
(PCM). Check that you are working on the correct
half of the engine.

Test sequence and decision path
1. Connect the WDS and confirm that P060D is
logged.
2. Set WDS to monitor both throttle pedal signals.
3. Ignition on. Move the throttle pedal over its full
range several times whilst observing the throttle
pedal position signals.
If the signals remain in balance over the full range
of pedal movement, go to step 4.
If the signals are out of balance, service the throttle pedal position sensors or circuit. Clear the
P060D code and run a further check of throttle
pedal position sensor readings to confirm that the
problem is resolved.
4. Set the throttle pedal to a mid range position.
Shake/wiggle the harness and look for any
change in the TPP signals.
If a harness fault is detected, service the harness
as necessary. Clear the P060D code and run a
further check of throttle pedal position sensor
readings to confirm that the problem is resolved.
If no harness fault is detected, go to step 5.
5. Clear the P060D code and run an extended road
test to see if the code is logged again.
If the code is logged again, repeat steps 3 and 4 of
this procedure to identify the cause of the intermittent proble. Service the sensor or wiring as
necessary and repeat the sensor signal check to
ensure that the problem is resolved.
If the code is not logged again, the cause of the
problem is not present at this time and testing is
complete.
Open the corresponding manual page for wiring diagrams and figures
logged.
