P0606 - The PCM /PCM Processor.

Cautions and notes

CAUTION: This code may be generated in the
Primary or Secondary Engine Control Module
(PCM). Check that you are working on the correct
half of the engine.

NOTE: This code indicates a serial communication fault
within the PCM.

Test sequence and decision path

1. Connect the WDS and confirm that P0606 is
logged.

2. Run a KOER test. Recheck the logged fault codes

3. If P0606 is logged again, use WDS to reprogram
(reflash) the PCM.

4. Repeat the KOER test and recheck for logged fault
codes.

5. If P0606 is logged again, replace the PCM
