Test sequence and decision path

1. Connect the WDS and confirm that P0579 or
P0581 is logged.

2. Check continuity of the SCCS and SCCSRTN signal lines from cruise control switch C0749-1 and
C0749-3 to primary PCM C0635 19 and C0635-

30. If any circuit defect is identified, service the circuit as necessary. Clear the fault code and test the
cruise control system for correct operation.
If no circuit defect is identified, test each segment
of the cruise control switch for correct resistance
as show on the circuit diagram opposite.
If any resistance defect is identified, replace the
switch. Clear the fault code and test the cruise
control system for correct operation.
