P0532 - A/C pressure sensor - low input.
P0533 - A/C pressure sensor - high input.
P0533 - A/C pressure sensor - high input.
Test sequence and decision path
1. Connect the WDS and confirm that either P0532
or P0533 is logged.
2. Disconnect the pressure sensor connector. Key
on. Select A/C on. Check the voltage between
VRef and Signal Return (pins C1257-5 and
C1257-2) at the A/C pressure sensor connector. If
+5 volts is measured, go to step 3.
If less than 5 volts is measured, service the Vref or
signal lines as necessary. Reconnect C1257, clear
the logged DTC and run a brief road test with A/C
on to ensure that the problem is resolved.
3. Using WDS datalogger, monitor the A/C pressure
sensor signal. Maximum value of 1000 or above
will set a P0533. The minimum value below 30
counts will set P0532.
4. If above 1000 counts or below 30 counts, disconnect the sensor connector, install the break-out
box to the relevant PCM.
P0532 - Check for short circuit to chassis ground
or to signal return. Service the circuit as necessary. Clear the P0532 code. Run a brief road test
with A/C on to ensure that the problem is
resolved.
P0533 - Check for short circuit to +5 or +12 volt
lines. Service the circuit as necessary. Clear the
P0532 code. Run a brief road test with A/C on to
ensure that the problem is resolved.
Open the corresponding manual page for wiring diagrams and figures
or P0533 is logged.
2. Disconnect the pressure sensor connector. Key
on. Select A/C on. Check the voltage between
VRef and Signal Return (pins C1257-5 and
C1257-2) at the A/C pressure sensor connector. If
+5 volts is measured, go to step 3.
If less than 5 volts is measured, service the Vref or
signal lines as necessary. Reconnect C1257, clear
the logged DTC and run a brief road test with A/C
on to ensure that the problem is resolved.
