(PCM). Check that you are working on the correct
half of the engine.
NOTE: This fault is most likely to occur after an
error during service work on the sensor wiring.

Test sequence and decision path
1. Access the oxygen sensor connections and correct the wiring in line with the accompanying
HO2S - PCM interface circuit.
2. Reconnect all components. Clear the P0040 or
P0041 code and run a KOER test to ensure that
the problem is resolved.
